Such a beautiful day here in Northern California yesteday…. I just couldn’t stay inside because the sun was out and it was sooo beautiful, it was calling my name to come out and play. I called my dear girlfriend and we met up at the park. Her little girl is a little ray of sunshine, but could be a little squirt when she wants to be. I have to be very careful with her because if she isn’t in the mood for picture taking, she ISN’T IN THE MOOD, PERIOD, thank you very much. Thankfully, she obliged me. I love children’s photography. Taking children’s portraits is one of the best things that I love to do. Children’s portraits are just so darn fun and lively… You really don’t know what you are going to get when you let kids be themselves…
I let her look at my camera screen to take a look at some of the shots and I think she liked what she saw because she was MORE than happy to let me take a few more photos of her. I think as a mom there is something pre-wired in us that there can be no other child as beautiful as our own. I always strive to capture that in every little person I photograph. Which, BTW, is why YOU should try to avoid those cookie cutter mall places…. really, in my opinion, there is a big difference in the images…however, I fully understand the need for these places… I’m just sayin’ that there is a big difference in the experience during being photographed and the photographic output. Trust me, I do have photos of my kids buried somewhere in my house that were taken at those cookie cutter mall places because at the time, that is where I had to go. But, I’m here and you’ll really have a fun time with me! So get in contact! Let’s go someplace fun! I promise I won’t blow a party horn to get your kids to smile…
I think these two enjoyed being together and hamming it up as much as being outdoors…
Wouldn’t you agree?? This age is OH so cute!
Thanks for coming out to play!
xo,

Love the way your images just tell a little story. Isn’t that what it is all about? Nice job!

You are so right about those cookie cutter photo studios. Very nicely captured, Jennifer!
