As you read this… I am probably up in the air heading toward New Orleans.. my last adventure was to the OC. A mere 1 and a measly half hour plane ride last February and I made myself anxious. This trip is double that with a 3 hour layover in Houston and without fail, I will probably be a ball of nerves, spastic and jittery… I am not looking forward to the plane ride. David is there now, sent over on a business trip to inspect the levees near the Gulf of Mexico, where the Katrina disaster hit. He is a civil engineer by profession who happens to moonlight as my second shooter, in case you were wondering. In any event, I am very excited to rendezvouz with him in the Big Easy and check out the local flava! The grandparents will be keeping the kids busy at home base and I have 5 doberman pinchers stationed outside the front door and 5 more near the back door, so don’t even think about any funny business happening while I’m away. I’m bringing my camera and will be slightly embarrassed to be marked as a tourist, but I think I’m ready to revel in the humidity and photograph everything in sight! In the meantime, you can follow my Tweets and my personal facebook status’, if you are in the slightest curious of what I may be up to…. even suggest things to do while I’m there..I’d really appreciate that! Have a great weekend!
