There comes a time in EVERY woman’s life that she will need… NEEEEED… to do something for herself. Whether it be a hot bubble bath, a mani-pedi, a spa weekend, a yoga retreat, Vegas with the girls or even a quick trip to paradise… EVERY. Woman. Will. Need. This. at one point or another, and not just a little bit, she will NEEEED this in a very big dose. Rebecca found herself there and felt the need, the NEEEEED, to get away and rejuvenate her soul. She came to Hawaii. She gave herself a photo session. Photos for her. But above all, a gift to herself. I think that’s just AWESOME!
Rebecca had contacted me several months ago and shared a bit of her story with me and I agreed with her to do what she felt she needed to do. I could relate… and I agreed that Hawaii would be a great experience. It was my NEEEED a couple of years ago and it literally changed my life. But I digress….. I met with Rebecca on her first full day on Oahu. We drove to Waialae Beach together and it was the perfect location. The weather was perfect, the water was beautiful (who am I kidding?,
it’s ALWAYS beautiful).
She shared with me that her first day here wasn’t so great, but she was determined to make it a great rest of the next few days she was here.
Before my very eyes, when Rebecca got herself in Hawaii’s refreshing water, I saw a calm come over her and a renewed enthusiasm for her present moment. She was refreshed and overtaken by the power of the ocean. Something was lifted and she was making plans for the next few days she had left… getting a floaty and just hanging out in the water in Waikiki, enjoying a beautiful dinner on the beach, renting a moped and touring the island and above all “disconnecting” with FaceBook and reconnecting with herself…. I could sense the excitement.
Rebecca… I am so happy that you got in touch with me and I am grateful to have met you here in Hawaii, sharing our stories and giving you a gentle push to enjoy yourself because You TOTALLY deserve it.
You get back on that plane Monday morning but I hope you take with you a rejuvenated soul, memories of a terrific adventure, and the spirit of Aloha that is Hawaii. Come back soon when you need to get away… Hawaii will always wait for you… Aloha my friend, Aloha.
