Redlands Family Photographer… the weather has really been heating up.. I don’t have to tell you that it ‘s just been so darn hot outside! So where does that leave time for a family photoshoot? Great question! The morning is the perfect time for a family photoshoot.

9 or 9:30 am is the perfect time. The sun is still low enough in the sky to not cause racoon eyes or squinting for my sensitive eyes people. Most importantly, it’s still cool and not blistering hot.

We are usually outside for not more than an hour.. so as the hour goes by, it does get warmer, but we are still comfortable enough that we aren’t sweating beads.

I always start photographing the kids first because they will usually get bored and tire toward the end of our photoshoot. Their personalities usually come out too as they figure out the lady with the big camera in front of them.

The Grands came along and personally, I love getting them together. It’s very rare that they get photos together at this time in their lives and I truly believe that their portraits are more for their children and grand children than it is for them. But these two were good sports!
