Hi There! I haven’t done one of these posts in a while… a Places To Visit while on Oahu, Places to Eat while visiting Waikiki, generally, my little guide book to the places I’ve been to and experienced. These are my personal photos of my own family and if you’ve visited my blog in the past, I like to photograph my personal photos with my film camera and my professional work with my digital camera. Yes, film camera, the kind you put a roll of film in the back and hear the mechanism engage… the kind you only have at least 24 exposures and when the exposures are shot, you have the film sent out to get developed… the kind you have to wait a week or so to see the what you’ve shot. Yeup, nothing instant about these photos. Honestly, my pro camera is heavy for me to lug around and my film camera is so much more convenient. I let someone else take care of the post processing, so to speak. It took me about a month to go through 36 exposures. I forgot about what I shot when I mailed out my film so it is a bit of a small thrill to see those memories again when the developed film is sent back to me. This post is image heavy and random but I guess you can say it’s a “Month in the Life” of my family, very random shots and this and that, here and there, all around Oahu. Above, my girls at Ala Moana Mall in Waikiki. World Class Shopping, definitely worth a visit if you like to shop.
My son always like to stop and play with the koi fish when we are at Ala Moana Mall.
My kids love to go to Genki Sushi when we are at Ala Moana Mall. They have about 4 or 5 or so establishments sprinkled around Oahu. They have these touch screens to order your food…
and the food comes out on these fun server thingy’s… this one is a space ship, some are race cars, some are surf boards… my kids love it.
This is deep fried calamari.
This one is a deep fried tempura roll…. Each plate has a color around it, this one is gray, the one above is red and the color corresponds to a price.. prices range from $2 ish to $6ish.. you can see why my kids love eating here.
Salmon skin roll… very family friendly place, check it out if you’d like something easy and local and not too expensive.
But, ya, the plates add up!!
The Crepes Van gives new meaning to “Food Truck”. This one is in Haleiwa and moved over to the food truck center across the street from McDonalds nestled in between other food trucks.
We had friends visiting one weekend and we went to the food trucks in Haleiwa..
Fish Tacos! Looks good, huh? I didn’t have it, but my friend said it was tasty!
We found a baby bird in our backyard one time… told you this would be a random blog post.
My husband putting the surfboard up on our van.
We went to Pua Ena Point in Haleiwa… it’s a great place for beginner surfers.
Took a pic of the doggy 🙂
My girls like to find flowers and braid them into each other’s hair…
There you go.. one roll of film… obviously, not all 36, but enough to highlight some of the stuff we do around the island. Thanks for visiting!
