Outdoor or Studio Photoshoots in Redlands
An outdoor or studio photoshoots in Redlands? I get asked this frequently, what’s better? I love both, but I’ll offer some opinions on them. Outdoor photoshoots are well, outside. Summer sessions can get hot and fall/winter session can be cool. I typically schedule photoshoots for the early morning, between 9:30 and 10am. It is relatively still cool and the lighting is still pretty perfect in every season. If you have little ones, something to think about is that we are outdoors where it’s easy for them to get dirty, which sometimes stresses out my parents. It doesn’t bother me because this is just who the little ones are at this age and most of the time, I can shop out the dirt stain.

I have a cozy studio with a big light… it’s small but big enough for a small family of 3-4. I have a classic white and gray background and it gives a different vibe than an outdoor photoshoot. In my studio, you don’t have to worry about the seasons outside and we still get super cute adorable photos. Do I do cake smashes? Yes, I photograph cake smashes, but I do not provide the cakes due to food allergies. I also do not provide the decorations or props as everyone has a different style. Both my clients here brought their own props for their photoshoot.

I usually have photoshoot outdoor locations at a local park, but I also love downtown Redlands. There are a lot colors, patterns and textures in downtown Redlands and it makes for a fun urban setting.
