We have had a wonderful time with family and friends that have come to visit us in the 6 months we’ve been here. A lot of great photographs and memories to log down on my blog. I’m excited to share them all with you, my mom and sister in law and mother in law have been here and I still need blog about those visits! If you’re visiting my blog, I hope it will give you some ideas on what you might do here… but I agree, so much to do, how do you decide? Sorry, can’t help you there :).
We recently had our dear, dear friends Andrew and Greta come to visit. We can’t even call them friends anymore as they’ve been part of our family for a long time… they are my kids uncle and aunt and brother and sister to David and I. We love them a lot. A LOT. Now that we are here, time with family is cherished to the nth degree. Of course we took them for shave ice at Matsumoto’s up at the North Shore in Haleiwa town and our favorite shrimp truck stop, Giovanni’s. I’m telling you, you just have to go! Trust me.
I always, always have my iPhone on me, but not always my professional camera… photo’s are my life! I will share with you what apps I use most frequently in another post.

We took Andrew and Greta to Leonard’s Malasada truck in Waikele (you can see the truck from the freeway heading west on the H1) and ordered a dozen of these delicious concoctions of sugary puffery… I don’t know how else to describe them except to say… ooooooooohhhh!!!! We bought cinnamon and white sugar… they are given to you straight out of the cooker thing, hot and delicious, they don’t last very long in the box..

Did a little surfing in the morning… we’re still beginners and went to Puaena Point Beach… lot’s of sea turtles very near the shore on this morning, it was pretty cool.
I took some pictures of my kid.
I know, I can’t help it. I love to take pictures of them.
Took some pictures of Andrew and Greta too… this one’s for them at Laniakea Beach or Turtle Beach.
Lot’s of fun and happy… but everyone has to eventually go home and that always brings out hugs and tears…. until we see you again… Love you both.
Aloha,
