Welcome to October friends! It’s officially fall… the weather will get colder and the leaves will start turning… maybe in Your area of the world, but not much in Hawaii. I’ll let you know as this is our first heading into the “cold season” in Hawaii. October marks the kickoff to a busy season for our ohana… birthday’s galore and of course the holidays. We will be adding one more milestone to our list and that is our move to Hawaii. Next month will be our 1 year anniversary. With that being said, I’m excited to share with you that I have added a Fine Art online shop in Etsy featuring Fine Art Photography by yours truly and also my husband who is a great photographer in his own right . You can find my Etsy shop here at WWW.JENNIFERBROTCHIEHI.ETSY.COM I love photography so much (as you know from reading my blog) that I have always wanted to branch out and dabble in other types of photography. The above is an example of Jennifer Brotchie Fine Art Photography. I’m going to be experimenting with different techniques and developing my style for Fine Art Photography. There will be studies in nature, color abstractions, macro views, mood themes in color, wherever my mind and creativity take me when I go out and take snapshots of the world around me, mostly that of Hawaii. I am really excited to be exploring my abilities in this arena and sharing it with you. Be sure to read through to the very bottom to get your special coupon code.
Here are a few more fine art images that will be in my shop:
I don’t know the names of these plants so I won’t even pretend that I do, I just know when I see it, I think it’s beautiful.
I love the exaggerated blue tones and texture in this piece. Can you imagine it as an enlargement, matted and displayed in a beautiful frame above your favorite sofa? Or even as a 5×7 image, matted in a beautiful 8×10 frame next to your nightstand?
This is a macro piece of some beautiful plants in my front yard… it reminds me of Georgia O’Keefe’s style, I’m not Georgia O’Keefe but I you can say that I am definitely inspired by her.
This piece I shot as we were driving home from the North Shore. The sun was just right, I rolled down the window as my husband was driving and I just took the picture. I didn’t have a title for it so I posted it on my FaceBook and asked my friends and fans to come up with a title. My friend Renee came up with what I saw was fitting. This piece is titled “‘Ainalani (Heavenly land)”. (Thanks Renee!) She will be receiving a small print in the mail of this image as a thank you for coming up with a wonderfully fitting title. You be sure to FaceBook fan me so that you have the opportunity to be creative and title a print for me. If I select your title, I will send you a small print of the piece. I will be asking you to help me title my pieces quite frequently because I don’t think it’s one of my strong points.
I can see this one is a girl’s nursery or a young girls room or anyone who loves PINK!!
This one is titled “Longboards”. Longboards is a restaurant at Ko’Olina and they have these cool surfboards outside. Very laid back ya? Subdued, cool, easy going.. that’s what this image recalls for me.
Every one of my fine art photography pieces are printed at my professional lab with professional, archival paper’s and inks. Your order will be sent to you in sturdy mailers ensuring it’s pristine condition… Precious Cargo here!!!
Do me a favor and keep me in mind when you are searching for wall decor for your house, want to do some gift giving (You know Christmas is just around the corner) or just want a part of Hawaii with you… I’d be extremely honored. I’m holding a grand opening special for 2 weeks, purchase anything in my ETSY store and receive 20% off with this coupon code: ALOHA It’ll be good until October 14, 9pm HST. My fine art pieces come in custom sizes as well and also canvas’, so don’t hesitate to ask me about special requests. Oh, and while you are visiting and shopping through my etsy store, please ” add to your favorites” . I’d appreciate it. It’s always kinda scary doing new stuff and seeing how receptive people are to it, it’s really like putting my heart out there and seeing if it will be accepted and adored. So be kind.
