My family and I took an island hopper over to Maui for the Easter weekend to meet up with our dear friends who were vacationing from our old neighborhood in California. We had such a fun time together.. I promise, photos to follow for proof! On Easter morning, as my husband and I were getting ready for the days fun, we could overhear a man and a woman from our second floor lanai. It was clear that it was an almost frustrated mom trying to get her kids to smile for the camera. I peeked outside to see what was going on. I can see at least 3 kids dressed in their Easter finest with their mom holding a little point and shoot camera and the dad trying to coax a smile out of the kids, while trying to get the others not to fidget. I went back in my room thinking, “Oh, they got it handled.” A few more minutes went by and my husband goes by the window and says, “Hey Jenn, it’s Easter, You should go and help those parents out, they’ve got 5 kids.” I sat there and thought, “It’s Easter. What Would Jesus Do?” Jesus would get His camera and go out there and take photos of those beautiful kids, that’s what He would do… so, as a disciple, I grabbed my camera, went out there, introduced myself, handed them a business card and said, “Let’s have some fun taking some pictures!” Mom and dad were jazzed…. the kids just wanted to get done… So in about 15 minutes, this is what they gave me…
Cute kids, right!? A crew of 5! Mom must be superwoman! I have 3 of my own and it ain’t easy 🙂
I am honestly very happy and gratified that I am able to give them some nice photos of their Easter on Maui and meeting this lovely family from Utah was a total bonus… They shared with me that they were vacationing from Utah and the trip had been a blast.
Here’s there 5 person crew:
I’m sorry I don’t remember their names since I had such little time with them… but I do remember the warmth and love that binds this family together, that’s the most important!
How cute is this? Check out the kids reaction’s in the background… priceless!!
Philpott family… it was a pleasure sharing the morning with you and crossing paths.
Warmest Aloha,
