This is an image that I snapped from my iPhone using the Hipstamatic app. If you don’t have that app, it’s a great one to have. I think the image above was shot with the John S lens. I absolutely love my iPhone, primarily because I have it with me all the time and I can capture moments quickly. My professional camera is simply too heavy to keep with me and expensive to schlep around. Anyone that knows me or follows my Instagram or FaceBook knows that I take a lot of pictures. When the next generation of iPhone’s come out, I’m definitely getting the most memory I could because I run out of memory quickly because of all the pictures I take with it. When I’m close to capacity, I download my iPhone pictures on to my computer so I don’t lose them. I wanted to display some of those pictures in my house and was able to print them on my home printer and I got amazing results.
I had a pair of these frames with artwork in them that we brought over from our move from the mainland. I thought they’d be perfect for the 3×3 inch iPhone photos. I simply printed my iPhone photos in 3×3 and affixed them over the artwork, kept the existing matting and taped the back, back up. Here’s the first one.
Here’s the second one.
I adore them. I love looking at them… they hang in the powder room downstairs and finish the bare walls quite nicely. It’s a simple project that anyone can do in case you’re wondering and saying to yourself… “my iphone pictures are still sitting in my phone!” Well, get them out of there and enjoy them!
And because it’s the weekend, here’s a photo to wish you a wonderful weekend…
Much Aloha,
