Oahu Best Photographer
One thing locals love are their musubi’s. Here is a new take on them (it’s actually been around for awhile) called onigirazu. Essentially it is a stuffed seaweed and rice sandwich with yummy goodness inside. ** Photos taken with my phone.**
We stopped by Musukawas Food Truck tucked in on the lot near Kewalo Harbor. It was just past 11am, not quite heavy lunch time hour so our order came quick. Parking is free and I would imagine gets pretty jammed up during peak times. There are a few other food trucks nearby that offer different dishes other than onigirazu.
We opted to take our box of goodies home to eat, but there was plenty of seating if we decided to eat in. It’s a bright and cheery decor… I love it.
Part of the Makers and Tasters which is a group of tasty food trucks that hold monthly events complete with entertainment on the front stage. I have yet to make it to one of these… some day.
Today’s menu. We ordered one of everything but passed on the artisan iced teas today. I can tell you everything was really delicious. My kids love spam and chicken katsu so these items would be a sure hit. The pork belly was tasty and I enjoyed the salmon chazuke. For the price, it all was a pretty handy taste good lunch.
… and the view is gorgeous too.
Next time you are on island, be sure to visit Musukawas.
