Contrary to popular belief, we are not always at the beach in our spare time. We went to our nearby park to fly a kite! I brought along my 35mm film camera and left the professional digital camera at home. If you are visiting my site for the first time, I shoot my family, my personal work with an old fashioned 35mm film camera. The kind where I only have 24 or 36 exposures in a can and when I’ve taken the last shot, I have to mark it “Develop Me” and I mail it out to have the film processed and developed. Pretty cool right? Well, I think so. Honestly, if I photographed my family with my digital camera, all the photos I took would be sitting in my hard drive waiting to see the light of day. This way, I can hone my photography skills and have the “post processing” finished for me. Anyways, enough about that… I really had a great time enjoying the sun and flying a kite with my family. Here are some memories to share…
Film photography really makes you think and compose before you click the shutter button. In some ways, I prefer it over digital.
My girls. They look like hipsters.
Little brother not happy he has to share!
