Family Photoshoots in Redlands
As a professional family photographer (family photoshoots in Redlands), I often get asked which time of day is the best day for a photoshoot? Outdoor photography is based on the quality of natural light. When you have a photoshoot with me, I will always offer you the best time of the day whether it be a morning photo sitting or a late afternoon photo sitting. My photoshoots in the morning are a good option because the weather is still nice and cool (especially in the summer months) and the morning sunlight trickles in our location in a number of lovely ways. The above examples are all from morning portrait shoots, I just love the way the sunlight showcase my families.

Late afternoon photoshoots with me are just as lovely as morning photoshoots, see examples above. The sun is a bit lower in the sky and gives a lovely golden glow- in the summer months, it will be much warmer outside in the afternoon than a morning photo session. As your professional photographer, it does not matter one way or the other to me what time of day you choose to have your family portrait session. I love both times of the day and I believe that your finished product will be beautiful either way.

However, the advice I would give is that it really depends on your family what works best for you all. If you have young children, they tend to be tired (and a bit more crankier) as they have been active all day and now have to get through a photoshoot which may lead to a bit of mamma anxiety. I’ll have to admit that sometimes dads get a tiny bit grumbly too. On the flip side, sometimes morning shoots can be a bit of a challenge, as well, if the time cuts into nap times.
