I’ve known Rana since the 5th grade. As often happens, we lost touch after high school. The age before FaceBook, email, cell phones and computers. She started her family and settled into life. I went away to school and tried to find out who I was. Years later, we got in touch again… through FaceBook. I got to meet her beautiful family a few years ago and we met up again to do a combination Senior session and family session.
Kevin is graduating high school next year, Rana and Joe’s 2nd child of four children. They traveled 90 minutes to come see me and at a moment’s notice to get in my schedule. I am very honored and flattered that all 6 of them could sync up their calendar’s and make the afternoon’s photosession work.
Kevin, Congrats on your senior year, I’m excited to see where your life’s journey will take you.
All the Leonardo’s have those gorgeous baby blue eyes…. they all have terrific personalities that shine through them.
Lest I forget to mention, the parental units. Rana and Joe. They celebrate 20 years of marriage this year. They look like teenagers! I can dig out some of my old kodak prints to prove it, but I won’t! So happy for you guys… like fine wine you are… yeah.
Proof in the pudding. Uh-Huh. Just lovely.
Oldest brother Kyle. Kyle. Kyle.Kyle. This is one young man that is very at ease with himself. A natural in front of the camera.
I love this one of Kyle. Kyle.Kyle.Kyle.
The sister out of the bunch. Beautiful Alex. Seriously. She’s starting her Freshman year this year in high school… As I was photographing Alex, she just reminded me so much of her mom at this age, I was teasing her about it… but really, she was just perfect.
Last but not least… Little bro Nick. He is a statement all his own. Very polite, smart, courteous, I could go on. Love that hat.
When I was setting them up for this shot… I look back and all I see and hear is laughter and hugs… this is a very close family, I love that I get to FEEL that!
I’m going to miss you guys when I move to Hawaii…. Did I mention on the blog that I’m moving to Hawaii? I’ll save that one for another post. I promise I’ll fly back for Alex and Nick’s senior year and just keep me in mind for the weddings…. even though I know that they’ll live with you forever!!! Rana, I’m so happy we’ve reconnected and are within fingertips reach of each other. I love you and your beautiful family…. I know you are very happy and truly blessed.
