Diamond Head park was closed on this day and we weren’t sure what to do with the rest of our day. We drove around and landed at a nearby beach. I had my camera out and I was roaming around taking photos of the local flowers. Another family had drove up and started walking toward the access way to the beach. The dad noticed the lens I had on my camera and we had a very brief, friendly exchange about it. I thought to myself, he must be a photographer if he knew the kind of lens I had without having to look on the lens itself to see the specs. I finished taking my pictures and headed to where my family was and happened to plop myself next to his family. Being the friendly person I am, I started some small talk with the pretty wife and learned that they are the island’s premiere video, graphics and web solutions specialists, a powerhouse team. Not only are they That, but they are really the nicest, generous and most genuine people around.
We met on the beach for a fun photoshoot and thought we would have a picnic… as luck would have it, it was pretty windy as the afternoon got late and David and Shayna invited us over to their home for dinner. We spent a few hours learning about each other while our keiki’s played. I’m very thankful that our paths had crossed…

Their daughter, cute as a button… don’t you think?
Their boys, personalities galore…
In Hawaii, ANYYYYBODY can take pictures with the ocean in the background… but when you find a cool rock wall like this one, you gotta use it!

David Kusumoto and Shayna Ching Kusumoto, you should take a break from being “the premiere video, graphics and web solutions specialists” and get out in front of the camera more often! You’re so photogenic, Shay. Oh, you, too, Dave. Evan and Cole are becoming mini-studs, just like you :D.
