BBQ Pork Buns
Q Day 56: Been making a lot of different recipes lately. Exploring and trying out different things that I never thought I’d make before. Chinese BBQ Pork Buns was always a favorite of mine since I was a little girl. My mom would go into Oakland Chinatown and bring home a pink box of BBQ Pork Buns. The meat filling was sweet and salty and the same time and the bread is spongy, delicately sweet, with each bite it’s a beautiful marrying of tastes. First step is roasting the pork tenderloin and the second step is making the bread, third step is putting everything together and lastly, steaming! and eating! Of course, with all this eating, we’ve been walking a lot more and trying to get outdoors. I love walking through Redlands. The houses are so pretty and the yards are so beautiful. This is really a sweet little town.
