These are apple bananas. I don’t know if they sell them on the mainland, but they sell them here often at farmer’s market’s. We bought this bunch for $3.00 and waited until they were bright yellow ripe. I grill these beauties on the bbq grill until the insides are splitting through the seams. They are slightly sweeter than regular bananas, at least when grilled. Plate the insides, throw out the peel and serve and enjoy with vanilla ice cream… sooooo good!!! Next time, I’m going to do the same but I am going to add a little bit of butter and cinnamon to them and enjoy them with the ice cream. If we have any left overs, they’d be great to heat up in the microwave and have them for breakfast! Enjoy!!
